Two thousand
years of Christian presence in the Holyland has been
infused into the liturgy of the Trappist monks of
the Latroun Monastery, whose abbey is at the site
where Jesus met two disciples on the road to Emmaus.
Recorded live at the Latroun Monastery, these
chants, sung in Arabic, Latin and French, express
the power of liturgical prayer in serving and loving
God.
This selection from The Vespers and Compline at
Emmaus was recorded live at the Latroun Monastery by
Trappist Monks.
