Two special
Catholic feasts - the Feast of Christ the King,
celebrated by the Trappist Monks of the Latroun
Monastery and the Feast of St. John Bosco Salesian
(Pontifical Mass) celebrated by the Latin Patriarch
of Jerusalem - are brought to you in this collection
featuring the authentic prayers of local monks and
nuns of the Holyland. The Feast of Christ the King
combines Gregorian chants, the earliest form of
Western music, with the Syriac Maronite liturgy,
probably the oldest Christian liturgy. The Feast of
St. John Bosco Salesian features the Cremisan Choir
singing a modern version of the Psalms. Recorded
live in Latin, French and Arabic.
